Miss Sweets! Temptation: Holiday 2012 Trend

Sugar addict fairies from the recent series: Humanity Has Declined
No review this time but their is a definite theme pop up in a lot of brands this year in terms of packaging and literal eye candy.

Personally I've always been a sucker for packing and want to do more of in in my job as a graphic designer so I always take note of cosmetic branding for inspiration as usually they do unique printing and box techniques.

Kat Von D True Romance Eyeshadow Palette Free style palette conversion and depotting.

Depotting is nothing new but I find I helpful when other post how they depot complicated palettes. I also liked the compact and wanted to use it again for a smaller freestyle palette.

Lancome Midnight Roses Fall 2012 Colour Collection Blushing Highlighter in 001 Moonlight Rose: Swatches & Review

PURCHASED

Lancome Blushing Highlighter in 001 Moonlight Rose

Branching out  into high end brands again, Lancome was another label that a just felt was overpriced for the product line. The Lancome Midnight Roses Fall 2012 Colour Collection is up my ally, I find it hard to NOT spend too much during the fall on makeup in general every year so I only got 1 item. Blushing Highlighter Illuminating Powder in 001 Moonlight Rose 0.18 oz $48CAN on Lancome online and at select Shoppers Drug Marts (where I got mine). Yes the price is very much high end. But here's a kicker it seems to be a Europe and Canada exclusive product as it's not listed on the US site. It's Limited edition but I'm hoping they make it permanent in the range and add more shades and here is the why!

The All Natural Face Vegan Foundation: Swatches & Review

The All Natural Face Vegan Foundation:  Porcelain Kissed by Honey, Light Beige Warm, Light Beige Pale,
Olive Warm & Olive Pale
The first I ever was able to find a true match to my skin tone was with mineral foundation from Indie brands. I'll admit learning curve was steep but once you learn how to work with mineral/loose product every thing in a pan is it just too easy afterwards. lol

My original HG foundation come from the brand Everyday Mineral however since their madness of 3 years ago when it came to their dropping all their formulations I just can't love any of their current foundations.

For the past 3 years I've been looking for a full cover non shimmer foundation in the olive range. I had tested the The All Natural Face shade about 4 years ago and then forgot about them because I still was using my Intensive formula from Everyday Minerals.

These are sample size so that you can test the shade range out first to fins your match. Sample in a 2 gram jar are $3.50US and will last about 5 to 10 full face applications depending on the coverage you use.

The state that it came in is UPS's fault the shadows were just shooken up and slide along the palette.

NARS Blush in Albatross: Swatches & Reviews

NARS Blush in Albatross

I admittedly have not been a fan of NARS Blushes in the past as I found the most hyped one to be rather lack lustre and under pigmented. Albatross on the other hand I was pinning to get. Retails for $32 Can and $28US.

L'Oreal Colour Caresse by Colour Riche: Swatches & Review

PURCHASED

172 Blushing Sequin & 178 Cardinal Plume
L'Oreal Colour Caresse by Colour Riche shades are out. I picked up 172 Blushing Sequin 178 Cardinal Plume $11.99 CAN a Zerhs. They retail usually for $12.99 to $14.999 CAN as most drug stores in Canada. The thing I didn't like about this product up from was the adverting as the model seem to have the product layered on thickly to almost opaque coverage. These are Lovely sheer and I don't recommend piling them on. lol

• Add colour streaks to a wigs.

• You need to lengthen a wig.
