These eyeshadow fall under 4 finishes matte, pearl, Shimmer and metallic. The 5 mattes are consistent in colour though slightly sheer they are build-able as well.

The 2 pearl shades are very consistent in colour and application.

There are mostly shimmer shades in this palette and none of them disappoint with some even being buttery in texture.

The metallic ares very clean in their finish and tend to be the most colour rich shades in terms of pigmentation.

Verdict:
I'm really happy with the quality of this palette. The formula is not like Urban Decays buttery base they use with the shimmer and metallic shades so keep that in mind the the pigmentation is spot on for e these shades.

NOTE
I asked Coastal Scents directly about matches in there own line of hot pots but they made these shade custom for the palette.
Thank you for your inquiry. The shades found in all finished Coastal Scents palettes are custom to those products. Unless a diagram or list is provided in the product's description, we do not cross-reference palette shades to each other or to Hot Pots. This applies, as well, to concealer pots, palettes and quads.

  2. Rats, they must have taken it down when the new promotion went up today. And your welcome I was excited to share this palette with good shade dupes. Don't get me wrong I love Urban Decay but It's nice to have affordable options for student budgets as well. ;)

  4. Do you think you can "dare to compare" these to the hot pots in the 256 palette? More specifically, I'm looking for dupes for Naked Basics(especially a matte W.O.S. and naked).

    1. I could give it a try in a couple of weeks. The 256 palette don't cater to much with the nude but there might be something in there.
