The Color Workshop Beauty Admirer Gold Set: Swatches & Review

The Color Workshop Beauty Admirer Gold Set
The Color Workshop is a brand I usually see pop around the holidays here in Canada but always passed it by due to it's lack of exposure. BUT I started to do research on Wet n Wild and Black Opal once I saw they had similar packaging to find out they are made by/owned by the same parent brand Markwins.
Markwins also makes the The Color Workshop, The Color Institute, Monster High, Barbie, and Disney makeup lines geared towards teens. Technically these are trickle down brands to Wet n Wild. ;)

This set Retails for $4.99CAN / 3.99€ and comes in 3 shadeset, this Gold set, a Blue set, and a Red smokey eye set. I pick this one up at Rexall.

Product:
The eyeshadows where all nicely pigmented with the exception of the pale nude shade which was slightly powdery and sheer.

The lipstick was very decent, it applied like a cream but almost has a satin finish to it.

The blush was very much the same quality as the Wet n Wild single pan ones.

Colour:
The Eyeshadows
The Dark Teal is a matte shade that dragged a little but was build-able in colour
The Light Green shade has a satin finish
The Pale Nude was was a sheer matte shade
The Pale Pink is a nice smooth matte shade
The Russet Red is a nice smooth satin shade
The Dark Brown was a very richly pigmented satin shade with gold shimmer
The Bright Yellow is a matte shade but did have a gold over spray on initially.
The Vanilla Gold was a butter pearl shade

The Lipstick is a satiny blush pink.

The Blush is a rich bright berry pink with a satin finish.

Wear:
The eyeshadows where descend wear of 5 hours on their own. With a primer they last 12 to 16 hours.

The lipstick last 4 hours one my lips and seem to dry after 2 hours.

The blush last 7 hours on my skin.

Packaging: The compact has an open well to house the lipstick in this set. This well however is a tiny bit to small for the lipstick, making the compact hard to open and close the first few times.

To the left of the lipstick is a palette of eyeshadows and 1 blush.

The bottom area house 2 mini eyeshadow sponges and a tiny blush brush that is a quarter of the size of  the Wet n Wild one that comes with their brushes and made of the same synthetic fibers. The lid also has a small mirror.

Lipstick
Pale beige on brow bone, vanilla gold in inner corner, pale pink on inner lid, Yellow on centre lid, light green on outer lid, dark teal on outer edge and crease, and dark brown on lash line/as liner.

Verdict
Compared to some really cheap makeup stocking stuffers of the past this was pretty decent to my surprise!
