Anastasia Beverly Hills Moonchild Glow Kit in Blue Ice, Star, Purple Horseshoe, Pink Heart, Lucky Clover, & Blue Moon : Swatches & Review

SWAPPED FOR

Anastasia Beverly Hills Moonchild Glow Kit in Blue Ice, Star, Purple Horseshoe, Pink Heart, Lucky Clover, & Blue Moon.
The Anastasia Beverly Hills Moonchild Glow Kit retails for $40US for 6 X 0.15 oz/ 4.2 g (0.90 oz / 25.2g) of product.

This product was limited edition which was a shame because it was also very hard to get and in my case I swapped for it. But I'm reviewing this because I'm doing a Dare to Compare post of all these Aura pigment products I own Tomorrow and I don't want to overload the post. ;)

EDIT: This palette is now permanent,

Product:
These actually a very smooth powder based to the aura pigments because the base they are using is synthetic fluorphlogopite to act as a binder and glide agent over the talc and have an almost cream like powder texture.

In terms of the mica texture Purple Horseshoe and Pink Heart had the most refined mica particles. Blue Ice and Lucky Clover were just slightly larger, with Star and Blue Moon being the most frosty

These also make really great eyeshadows if you wanted to use them that way.

Colour:
Blue Ice is a white/beige base powder with a blue aura pigment. The base is not noticeable on the skin as it reads more of a white but it allows the subtle ghostly blue to shine through. On me, I can wear this as a highlighter without it looking too strange because the blue is not as intense.

Star is a pale silver-white with a pearl/metallic finish. It has a similar particle size to my Becca Shimmering skin perfect in Pearl but it reads more metallic.

Purple Horseshoe is a purple periwinkle aura shade with a pearl finish. This has and no discernable base colour. On my skin, it looks bluer and is a noticeable colour shift.

Pink Heart is a dusty light beige base powder with a vibrant pink aura pearl finish. This has no discernable base colour on the skin however as a highlighter. On my skin tone, it looks almost peachier pink with is a noticeable colour shift to a pink.

Lucky Clover is an almost electric white that flashes a pale gold-green aura finish. This has a stronger colour shift due to the unnatural green tone but it's not all that unflattering on my olive skin tone.

Blue Moon is a metallic silver-blue and on my skin tone looks similar to Star's silver tones, but cooler and even more metallic.

Wear: as a highlighter on bare skin I got 6-8 hours. As an eyeshadow with my semi-hooded lids, it's was close to 4-5 hours. I recommend using a primer with these as it also intensifies the aura flash of the shades.

Packaging: Basic cardboard palette with jacket/sleeve to keep the palette in good condition. The palette I got was miss handled when put together in the magnets, they were placed in the wrong spots at the top of the palette tray rather than at the bottom to match the metal plates in the lid. So I'm glad I have the jacket to keep this closed.

Verdict:
I'm So sad this was LE because it feels like an updated version of the MAC Extra Dimension eyeshadows using these mica pigments... which is also limited edition. :(

I actually love the formula of these and some of the pigment used are not what I call ideal highlighter texture with the more metallic ones, but I love to see them be incorporated in the Anastasia Beverly Hills eyeshadow line if they choose to.
