Wet N Wild Color Icon Eyeshadow 10 Pan Palette in Rosé in the Air, Comfort Zone, & Not a Basic Peach.

The Wet N Wild Color Icon Eyeshadow 10 Pan Palettes retails for $4.99US and $8.99CAN at Rexall for 0.35 oz/ 10 g of product in each palette. I didn't get the Nude Awakening 757A because it looks so back and a lot of brands make their own good ones. But these palettes are replacing both the Au Naturel palettes and the original Color Icon Eyeshadow 8 Pan Palettes.

Product: 
The Metallic/shimmer shades are more powdery than buttery compared to the original 8 pan palettes that are so beloved in the past. Most are pigmented or slightly sheer but workable. The shimmer shades in the Not a Basic Peach 4 have less binder in them and has fallout while working with them or so sheer the blend out to almost nothing on bare skin with the blue shade.

The Matte shades are the standout in these palettes most are very pigmented with a smooth powdery texture and not chalky. Only one of them is sheer in the 3 palettes and that berry shade in Rosé in the Air works very well over a primer of a base.

1 (Transition) is a warm taupe brown with a matte finish.
2 is a pale beige with a matte finish.
3 is an orange terracotta with a matte finish.
4 is a pale gold with a shimmer finish.
5 is a rust brown with a matte finish.
6 is a dust pale mauve with a matte finish.
7 is a is a rich pink berry with a matte finish. This shade is sheer/powdery but works way better over a primer than on bare skin.
8 is a warm brown with a shimmer finish.
9 is a cool deep brown with a matte finish.
10 (Transition) is a camel brown is a with a matte finish.

Comfort Zone shades in:
1 (Transition) is a yellow terracotta with a matte finish.
2 is a pale ivory with a shimmer finish.
3 is an olive green with a gold shimmer finish.
4 is a warm pearl with a shimmer finish.
5 is a yellow base brown with a shimmer finish.
6 is a light rose brown with a shimmer finish.
7 is a red-brown with a strong teal shimmer finish.
8 is a deep warm brown with a gold shimmer finish.

Not a Basic Peach shades in:

1 (Transition) is a warm beige nude with a matte finish.
2 is a pale alabaster with a satin finish.
3 is a bright gold with a shimmer finish.
4 is a vibrant orange with a matte finish.
5 is a rich pink/coral with a gold shimmer finish. This shade was powdery but workable.
6 is a light peach with a matte finish. This shade was powdery.
7 is a dusty deep mauve with a gold shimmer finish. This shade was powdery but workable.
8 is a bright light turquoise with a shimmer finish. This one is extremely sheer and under pigmented.
9 is a deep slight cool brown with a matte finish.
10 (Transition) is a warm terracotta with a matte finish.

Wear: Most I get about 7 hours of wear without a base.

Packaging: The palette is a cardboard laminated box with a mirror in the lid and a well for the brush to sit in. The cardboard makes it easier to pry out the eyeshadows for depotting if you want to.

The double-ended brush on one end a small dome smudger side and fluffy blending side that are made of soft synthetic bristles.

New Color Icon Eyeshadow 10 Pan Comfort Zone Palette in 5 is lighter and more yellow compared to the Original Comfort Zone shade 5.

New Color Icon Eyeshadow 10 Pan Comfort Zone Palette in 6 is lighter compared to the Original Comfort Zone shade 3.

New Color Icon Eyeshadow 10 Pan Comfort Zone Palette in 7 is more pigmented with the teal shift is more visible compared to the Original Comfort Zone shade 8. This is the only shade that does better than the original. ;)

New Color Icon Eyeshadow 10 Pan Comfort Zone Palette in 8 is paler and less pigmented compared to the Original Comfort Zone shade 7.

New Color Icon Eyeshadow 10 Pan Comfort Zone Palette in 9 is less pigmented compared to the Original Comfort Zone shade 6.

Verdict:
Out of these palettes, the ones with the matte shades stand out the most. Although all the palette eyeshadows work with a primer the Not a Basic Peach is sadly the one to avoid because the pop colours as sheer and powdery in this one but those are the shades I was looking forward to seeing from the brand.

This new Comfort Zone is workable palette but I do miss the old eyeshadow formula. The stand out is the Rosé in the Air because all those matte eyeshadows are stellar in term of pigmentation and texture of the formula. ;) So 2 out of the 3 are getting my approval.
