Most of these shadows in these Essence 16 Pan Eyeshadow Palettes are buttery in nature with a matte, satin, or pearl finish in these new palettes.
The Matte shades have a slight satin glow to them due to the smooth buttery texture that is not powdery while working with them. The pigmentation is also excellent. One of the shades Wild Pepper has larger particles of shimmer in the mix.
The Satin shades have a true glow to the finish, the texture is slightly powdery but smooth to apply and blend, with true pigmentation.
The Pearl shades have an even shine to their finish. The texture is slightly powdery but smooth to apply and blend, with even pigmentation.
The Essence Eye & Face Palette in 04 Holo Wow! has on the matte shade is the same compared to the classic eyeshadow and the 16 pan palette. The Holo and Brightening shades are a shimmer pearl texture with high shine with a sheer base to give their flash of colour. Interesting enough the shade Brightening Base is a white silver that if you do layer the holo shades over it does add more shine to the shade with white to colour shift.
Wear:
The 20 Spice Up Your Life & 30 Fairy Wings Magical Things eyeshadows last 5-6 hours on their own. Just a touch to powdery without a primer for the pearl shades.
The Eye & Face Palette in 04 Holo Wow! as eyeshadows last 5-6 hours on their own and need a primer. On the checks, they do last 8+ hours over foundation.
On the cheeks, the Essence Pure NUDE Highlighter highlighter lasts 8-10 hours before noticing any fading.

Verdict:
The Essence Cosmetics 16 Pan Eyeshadow Palettes in 20 Spice Up Your Life and 30 Fairy Wings & Magical Things, are wonderful for the price point! I really happy with the consistent quality and for a limited edition palette from what I can tell I highly recommend getting the 20 Spice Up Your Life if you're looking for a warm palette on the cheap if you're just not in love with all the orange tone palettes that have been coming out lately. I've been craving one but they're either all orange or just a pop of orange with no red, yellow and pink to balance them out. The 30 Fairy Wings & Magical Things is your cheap festival palette with bight and pastel to pale colours. It's cute but you may not want/need it. The is also a purple/pink grunge/rocker palette as an option as well with this collection.
Eye & Face Palette in 04 Holo Wow! is definitely picking up the Aura pigment palettes again. The black eyeshadow in it is nice but needs a primer to make it a true base for this pigment but other than that the shades are wonderfully pigmented if you just want a cheap aura/glow pigment palette. Funnily enough, Annabelle also came out with single shades in the $10 a pop for 3 of these Aura shades so I'm glad I waited for this palette.
Pure NUDE Highlighter in 20 Be My Spacelight all I have to say is YESSSS. The range has been expanded by 3 colours but only this sheer pink one has made it into stores. I Like it, and the formula is the same as the original Pure NUDE Highlighter in 10. be my highlight. Still happy about the expansion as they now have a deeper gold/bronze shade options a well in a range that tends to run for mostly fair to medium skin tones.
