Kat Von D Alchemist Holographic Palette in {green} Emerald, {ultra-violet} Amethyst, {blue} Saphyre, & {pink} Opal. |
Product:
The formula is a finely milled mica aura pigment with a fine white base to make these shade more intense on bare skin and over other products. This the best formula I've come across today for these shades and show how much effort Kat was putting into getting these right.
Colour:
{green} Emerald is a white base yellow-green with an Aura finish.

Colour:
{green} Emerald is a white base yellow-green with an Aura finish.
{blue} Saphyre is a blue/green aqua shift with an Aura finish.
{ultra-violet} Amethyst is a cool purple/blue shift with an Aura finish.
{pink} Opal is a white based pink with an Aura finish.
Wear: I get 4-5 hours on their own but these are best layered over other eyeshadow on the skin. ;)
$10.75CAN each which is not a horrible price for single shadows and ones dense in Aura pigment as these. But it's a little underwhelming when you see the amount given by other palettes. ;)
The palette cover is a holographic finish over white with the cover embossed. The box art is a stamped holograph silver foil.

Compare:
Kat Von D Alchemist Holographic Palette in {ultra-violet} Amethyst is MUCH bluer compared to Naked Cosmetics IV-03 which is redder in tone purple and Naked Cosmetics IV-06 which lean more warmer for a blue.
Kat Von D Alchemist Holographic Palette in {blue} Saphyre more aqua in tone compared to Naked Cosmetics IV-05 which is more turquoise green.
Kat Von D Alchemist Holographic Palette in {pink} Opal more intense and opaque compared to Naked Cosmetics IV-02.
In terms of the Anastasia Beverly Hills Moonchild Glow Kit the Pink Heart and Lucky Clove are the only two shade I would say are close the formula as a smooth fine milled mica of the Kat Von D Alchemist Holographic Palette but they are much sheer when you see the swatches to these Naked Cosmetics I've reposted down below.
This palette is an Aura pigment lovers dream. It is expensive for what you're getting but not bad for individual price shadows. It has the 4 shades that are harder to find on the market. An addition of a true yellow or true purple would have rounded it out but yellow aura pigment products are easy to find in highlighters or eyeshadows these days. I do recommend it if you want to add this sort of products to your collection or kits.
