Products: Most of these shadows are buttery in nature and VERY pigmented. I found the shadows glide on with little effort as well. Formula wise these all seem to have the same base formula, The difference is that the shades themselves are shimmery or metallic in finish.

I stand for iridescent which these shades have a translucent quality to the colour shift they posses.
D stand for Diamond and these shades have a brilliant shimmer.
ME is for Metallic finish and they have a high shine to the shades.
S is for Satin and these shade can be either low lustre matte or pearly in finish. Some of these are a touch drier to work with without a base.

Colours by trios top to bottom:
I-550 Olive Gray  is a  pearl finish light taupe.
S-522 Pinky Nude is a pale satin nude with beige base.
I-528 Pearl is an off white ivory pink with a pearl finish.

I-524 Pinky Beige is much like the name it a pale coral pink with a beige undertone with a more satin finish.
D-826 Fig is a warm desaturated burgundy with a subtle shimmer.
I-662 Amber Brown is golden brown with a frost finish.

I-916 Frosted Mauve is a pale almost white lavender with a frost finish.
D-830 Black Rose is an oil-slick black with red merlot shimmer.
I-922 Electric Purple is a warm tone mid-range purple with a satin finish.

D-236 Lagoon Blue is a vibrant turquoise with white shimmer.
S-228 Petrol Blue is a green based rich teal with an almost matte finish.  (This one is a touch dryer in texture.)
ME-216 Electric Blue is a deep cobalt blue with a frost finish.

S-102 Onyx is a satin charcoal black. (This one is a touch dryer in texture.)
S-114 Pearl Gray is a light true grey with a satin finish.
ME-122 Snow is a smooth frost finish white.

Wear: They last 6-8 hours on their own.

Small verse Full-size Artist Shadow pans.
Small verse Full-size Artist Shadow pans. Small ones are deep to allow more product in them.
You can still depot the glued down eyeshadow pans. the palette is magnetic as well
Packaging:
Cardboard magnetic palette with a mirror. It is heavy thought because both the mirror and the palette base is made up of dense card stock to make the wells for the eyeshadows. But the mirror top is not as heavy as the Artist Palette Volume 1 and 2 palettes.

The cover is a sealer orange glitter, so no fallout or scratchy texture while hold.

Compare:
Now last years Make Up For Ever 2014 Studio Case does have a few repeats to this set in. The set contains the shades Natural (M-530, S-516, I-544), Smoky (M-122, ME-108, M-100), Bold (D-236, D-926, I-218), and Chic (I-524, D-826, ME-828).

S-522 Pinky Nude, D-826 Fig, D-236 Lagoon Blue, and ME-122 Snow are the direct dupes to this 15 Artist Shadow Palette. But there is also very similar colour families going on with the Smoky trio of white to black, Natural Trio of wearable shades, Bold Trio of blues and purples and Chic Trio in warm rosy tones.

But if you like me and missed the Make Up For Ever 2014 Studio Case from last year it's a great way to start an Artist shadow Collection.

Verdict:
This is a great palette but if you already have the Make Up For Ever 2014 Studio Case from last year then you might want to pass and the tones in both palettes are very similar. That said the quality is perfect to the original full-size Artist shadows you it might be worth you while to pick this one up. ;)

  1. So they are glued onto a magnetic base?
If I w as to depot the blues, and add Matte eyeshadows(MAC), could I do so.

    1. The glue annoys me so much as it's redundant. lol

I'll have to check on the pan size but yes, if you have a metal plate like the ones Yaby and Z palette's sell to attach to it. The mac pans are not made with magnetic metal.

    2. Yeah, the wells are literally only 1mm too small compare to MAC and Urban Decay pans.... you don't want to jam those in.

    3. i purchased this one as well as the number 1 online from sephora... I've been debating deporting them as my mac pallet I took out the thing that holds them in so now i can fit about 6 more eye shadows into the pan.

I'm wondering....if I'm able to take out the cardboard from this one (15 pallet) and then out all the eye shadows into the pallet.. i haven't received it yet so I dont know what it looks like.

    4. I dont know if that made any sense hahah.

but basically what I'm saying is i want to rip off the black portion so i can stick more shadows into this pallet. But then, i dont know if they will hold/fall out.

    5. I'm actually just finished filming how to convert this palette to a free style one. ;) But yes can take out the cardboard, I just show you how to to a outside edge to make sure you shadows are still contained properly.
