Product
There are 3 finishes in this line of blushes. Matte, Satin, and Shimmer.

The matte shades I found some to be powdery, but not chalky. Not as buttery in texture as some blushes but the do blend out nicely on bare skin.

The satin shade are buttery and smooth like silk to the touch, There is a nice sheen to all of them but the level of dewiness it dependent on the individual shade. I also found these easy to build or sheer out the colour intensity.

The shimmer finish ones have a nice finish shimmer that is consistent through the shades. Also buttery to work with and there are a few duo tone blush as the base also seems to be a satin finish.

Wear: 10 hour wear before noticeable fading for most shades. Some of the darker ones do last longer though and some even stain their so pigmented. ;)

Packaging: Simple black compact with a clear lid. If you wanted to depot these there is a pin hole on the back to push out the pan after the glue has been warmed up. ;)

DEPOTTING:
I've tried everything to depot these. But there are 3 thing goings against them.

#1 The glued they used dosen' heat up witch i suspecting they used a resin type glue, and it also don't break down when i drop in 99% alcohol under the pan either. I tried straightening iron, oven (which warped the crap out of the compact lid so I know the whole thing was baked), and open flame from a candle which does burn the plastic.
#2 The compact it too thick at the bottom. Which means you can not flex or warp the base the pan is in.
#3 The pan itself will bend/flex before the glue will give. The pans is a very thin metal and I was able to pry up the edge (in doing does break the product as well). The kicker is there is very little glue holding it in place at the centre of the pan.

So unless you have a gas torch and a well ventilate place to melt a hole from the centre back tp get at the glue on the pan.

  1. Thanks for showing these. At $8 each, I can get MAC at that price with my discount- do you feel they are worth investing in?

    1. Yes but I would pick a few you like to try out first. Some MAC matte blushes are a touch more buttery but most I find have the same texture of these. ;)

  2. i bought the who set and its kind of cumbersome to open all of them up to see which one i want to wear for that day so i wanted to depot them and put them in a palette. but they are so hard to depot. i guess coastal scents really used high quality glue. have you tried depotting these? if so, is there a way to depot them or any tricks to use?

  3. Not yet but I use two heat methods on most things. Either tin foil and a straightening iron or bake them in my oven at a low temp to soften the glue for 10-20 minutes.
