Annabelle Stay Sharp Waterproof Lipliner in Nude, Java, Vintage, Strike a Rose, Glam Red, & Berry
These sell for around $11.99 CAN at Shoppers Drug Mart, $10.99 CAN at Rexall, and $9.99CAN at Zerhs which I pick these shades up. These are the six shades launched along with 6 eyeliner shades in the same packaging.
Annabelle Stay Sharp Waterproof Lipliner in Nude
Worn down, first twist with cap, second twist, and third twist to a point.
Ingredients
Isododecane, Synthetic Wax, Pentaerythrityl Stearate/Caprate/Caprylate/Adipate, Hydrogenated Polydicyclopentadiene, Ethylene/Propylene Copolymer, Pentaerythrityl Tetraisostearate, Polybutene, Polyethylene, Perfluorononyl Dimethicone, Pentaerythrityl Tetra-Di-T-Butyl Hydroxyhydrocinnamate,
May Contain/Peut Contenir: Iron Oxides, Mica, Ultramarines, Titanium Dioxide, Chromium Oxide Greens, Ferric Ferrocyanide, Carmine, Blue 1 Lake, Yellow 5 Lake.
Products:
These are wax and gel-based formula. The formula is smooth to apply but also quick to dry. So if you want to fill in your lip I recommend work in small sections. ;) The texture of these are all matte.

Colour:
Nude is warm based pink nude.
Java is warm based brown nude.
Vintage is a nude warm based medium pink. Come of almost orange toned if you have warmer lips.
Strike a Rose is a blue based vivid pink.
Glam Red is a blue based vivid red.

Berry is a warm plum shade. The formula on this one was the driest out of the six and you have to work quickly otherwise you end up with dark patches from layering another layer of product over the base layer.

Wear:
16+ hour wear when you take care to not get food on your lips on their own. With eating and constant talk or a lipstick/lip gloss over them, the 6 hours claim holds up just time and on average you get 8 hours wear.

You can also break these down with a hot shower. ;)

Packaging:
This packaging is cool as you don't twist up the product manually but rather twist on the lid to both seal the product and sharpen the tip while feeding more of the product to the tip.

It definitely confused me at first but once you understand that the screwing down action is what sharpens the pencil 1/3 of the way and forms a tip. It makes it have a sharp tip always compared to the traditional twist up pencils.

You're also not wasting any product as the action moulds the product to a point rather than sharpen by removal of layers.

Compare:
Smashbox if the first brand I've seen using this packaging. You get 0.009 oz with there Always Sharp Lip Liners compared to the Annabelle at 0.008 oz But you Also Paying $20US or $23CAN which is close to double the price for the Smashbox ones.

Verdict:
I was so excited to finally see a drugstore waterproof liner back in the Canada Drugstore market. But I'm also really happy with these performing as well as they do.

  1. I'm really liking Vintage. It's too bad that it's so hard to get a hold of Anabelle products in the US.

  2. Yeah they like Milani in Canada, I usually have to order those online. Annabelle does ship to the US though. I see Vintage working with a lot of lipstick tones. ;)
