Stila In the Light Palette and Smudge Stick in Damsel : Swatches & Review.

Stila In the Light Palette
The Stila In the Light Palette retails for $40US and $50CAN at Shopper Drug Mart. I've shy away from Stila due to their 25%-40% markup on products here in Canada. The nice thing with the classic range being sold at Shopper Drug Mart you can use coupons and points to knock down the price on items. ;)

The Smudge Stick Waterproof Eye Liner retails for $20US or $26CAN on their own.

Products:
These eyeshadow fall under 4 finishes matte, satin, pearl, and shimmer finishes.

The pearl, and shimmer shades have great colour payoff and smooth texture.
The satin shades are sheer but build-able with micro shimmer.
The matte ones are smooth in texture.

All the shades blend pretty well though on there own or over a primer.

The Smudge Stick formula is like Butter! Really smooth to apply richly pigmented and dries down to a matte finish.

Colours:
Bare is a matte ivory.
Kitten is a light warm champagne. (a touch flakey but wearable)
Bliss is a matte beige pink with a brown tone.
Sunset is a shimmery light russet brown.
Sandstone is a matte light coco brown. (Pearl)
Bubbly   is a pale gold shimmer.
Gilded Gold warm camel matte brown with golden shimmer. (Satin)
Luster is a dark taupe brown with gold shimmer. (Pearl)
Night Sky is a slate blue with shimmer. (Satin)
Ebony is a matte black.

Smudge Stick in Damsel is a matte dark brown

Wear: On there own these eyeshadows will crease in 5-6 hours. 3 hours with the satin shades. With a primer they do last all day.

The Smudge Stick last easy 16+ hours. ;)

Packaging Basic cardboard compact with a mirror.

Verdict:
This is a great basic palette that covers both finish and you can use either warm or cool tones with it.

I'd hate to see it go as Stila is now launching new palettes called Eyes Are the Window™ Shadow Palettes.
