These are 5 of the 7 new Metallic liquid lipsticks. I only didn't pick up the shades Sweet As Honey (gold-copper) and Gilded Cocoa (metallic brown) because I didn't think they would look good on me.

Product:
This formula is a smoother and cream texture with mica shimmer particles in them. I found the texture of each shade had a different consistency based on the mica pigment used.

Truffle was a very thick constantly because of the ultra fine mica used turned it into a mousse-like texture, it was able to be applied but needs some smoothing out.

 Smoke & Mirrors and Queen of Hearts was the thinnest formula that feels more like a liquid while applying. This meant I would apply sheerly but I found it easy to apply more coats without it building up on the lips.

Penny Talk and Sandstorm were more closure to the rest of the Hard Candy Velvet Mousse Matte Liquid Lip Color line in texture and were easier to applying in 1 coat.

This formula takes about 1-2 hours to dry down to a more matte finish on the lips.

Colour:

Penny Talk is a copper with a metallic finish.
Sandstorm is a light tan with a metallic finish.
Truffle is a dusty rose/mauve with a pearl finish.
Smoke & Mirrors is a purple taupe with a metallic finish.
Queen of Hearts is a berry red with a metallic finish.

Wear: For about 6 hours before needing touch-ups.

Packaging: A simple tube with a long doe foot applicator. The tin for the "box" has a mirror in the lid and you can house two shades inside the tin once you remove the velvet tray. There is also a clear insert tapped on to keep the product in the tin body.

The news tin art for these scales that adds a tin over a metallic paint coat that are individually embossed.

Verdict

I do overall like the formula and the pigmentation is perfect with these shades unlike other metallic lipstick that are popping up right now. I'm curious why they choose more on trend liquid lipstick shades for a drugstore line. I was expecting more wearable pinks and red as well but these are reminiscent of eyeshadow shades. ;)

Sandstorm is an odd one on my fair skin and really nude for anyone darker than me but I can see it working VERY nicely with a  smokey eye.
