Products:

The satin formula has sublet shimmer particles. These powder are dewy in finish however but not shimmery but not a true matte or flat finish. They buff out effortlessly which is why I still keep coming back to these expensive powders. lol

The Iridescent formula of Iridescent Strobe Light,  Incandescent Light and to a slightly more subtle extent Iridescent Rose has a fine shimmer formula that is barely noticeable. This formula is what I consider a satin finish you see in eyeshadow formulas. It gives the skin a dewy glow that shows off the light reflecting on the skin but it subtler than most highlighters. although Iridescent Rose is in this formula I found it has less of shimmer quality compared to the highlighter shades.

Ambient Lighting Powder in Dim Light is a pale beige brown with a satin finish.
Ambient Lighting Powder in Diffused Light is a pale yellow cream with a satin finish. This one doesn't have the random shimmer found in the full-size pan I got years ago and I'm loving that. ;)
Ambient Strobe Lighting Powder in Iridescent Strobe Light is a pale pink beige with a shimmer finish.
Ambient Lighting Bronzer in Eternal Bronze Light is a warm brown with a satin finish.

Yes, the shade is VERY similar to Iridescent Strobe Light which is just a bit darker. ;)

Wear:

On the cheeks, it lasts 10 hours before noticing any fading, but the colour lasts 16+ hours over foundation and setting sprays.

Packaging:

The Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit Ghost Silver box and Silver Mirror plastic compact with clear bottom tray. While the Ambient Strobe Lighting Powder compact has the same Silver mirror for all the components.  These compacts are really sturdy but the product would shatter easily due to the "baked" nature the product themself. Both compacts have a full to the size of the lid mirrors for use. I found that the mirror packaging finish of these compacts shows off fingerprints.

Verdict:
I Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit Ghost palette is a dream as a pale girl. This is a pale to light girls palette as the shades are light enough to work on my skin tone.

I also don't use bronzers normally because they turn orange very quickly on my pale olive skin tone. The Eternal Bronze I can use lightly but I also found mixing it with the Dim Light to cool it down further can give me better-looking shade on my skin.

I also found that Iridescent Strobe Light although dewy looking can look darker on my skin as it a touch darker and pinker than my skin tone. If that happens or if I want to add some shimmer to the highlight powder shade I mix Diffused Light and Iridescent Strobe Light the reach a better balance.

But compared to the other 3 and 6 pan palettes the fact I can use all the shades is a bonus and the reason I splurged on it. Because Hourglass is a luxury brand is hella expensive for it, but the product does perform which is something I can't always say of luxury labels. ;)

Ambient Strobe Lighting Powder Mini in Incandescent Light is the same as the full-size product thankfully. So many brands change the formula slightly to fit packaging needs, especially mini lipsticks. If I use this highlighter every day the full size I a better price point, but their strobe formula is a more natural like and dewy looking highlighter that doesn't radiate shine on the skin. It gives you just a little bit a something ethereal that still looks like skin without the GLOW TO THE GODS look. I love that glow to the gods' look but it nice to have something tones down. This shade I lighter than mu skin tone and the subtle pinkness just illuminates my olive skin.

Do you need natural dewy looking products, that up to you but I didn't realize how I've missed having this option because a lot of my high glam makeup looks would normally skip it but this is also a product I can use on a low makeup days that look undetectable when over the product or even your bare skin. Can you achieve the same look with other products, yes, but effortlessness of these powders are a winner to me. 

Now they do sell powder that can work for most skin tones in singles but I still hope they expand for deeper skin tones and medium to deeper palettes like this in the future. I felt seen with this palette for the first time, I want that for every skin tone.
