I CAVED! - Naked 2 is a pale girls best friend: Swatches and Review

PURCHASED / AFFILIATE LINKS
Urban Decay Naked 2
I'm not planning to go into a much detail on this review as usual because the product is A+ in my book and other have blogged this to death. I'll be focusing why I like it and why it pale girls friendly.

The Urban Decay Naked 2 palette retails for $54US or $64CAN.

Urban Decay Naked 2 opened
Swatches Flash then Daylight no base: Foxy (blends into  my skin tone), Half Baked , Booty Call (blends into  my skin tone), Chopper, Tease, Snake Bite, Suspect, Pistol, Verve, YDK , Busted,  and Blackout.
The actually product or eyeshadows are great lighter tone washes of colour with a few darker ones through in. For me, I had originally bought the NAKED (1) palette when it came out but fund I was only using maybe 5 of the shades at most out of it as it was just too smoky as a palette on my ultra fair skin. this I'm finding myself using a love most of the shade in a few different combinations.

Foxy works well as a matte highlight even though on me it runs a tad bit yellow, Booty Call is also a nicer formulate compare to Virgin which on one of the five I used in the NAKED(1) palette the most. I'm a complimentary champagne shade on me. Tease although is an under performer is actually a better Matte shade them some of MAC pans. I like the ashy brown tone and work fell in the crease.

Having blackout in this is great because you can mix it with other shade to create a smoking look. it's also nice to have to set you liner as I wasn't a fan of Creep in the NAKED(1) palette.

The Brush

I've worked with way better synthetic brushes for a fraction of the price. The shadow end in particular has no texture to the filaments, meaning none of the powder shadows will grab that well. It's a mistake a lot of companies do however as this style of the filament is ideal for cream products.

The crease end is ok, the filaments are textured which adds in picking up product but the tips are a little too wide for the softer blend it. It's not bad really and does a goof job but I've worked with better.

The lip gloss I'm not going to use as I'm not a fan of their lip plumping formula anymore, aggravates the lip too much on me.

Verdict:
Definitely a keeper!

The palette is basically a half cool and warm tone shade which is refreshing mostly shimmer which I like but adding a matte crease and highlight to work the shades out id you want. Although the colours are far from BOLD the combination you can create from subtle to night time for a range of pale to medium skin tones make it a staple item and there is a lot of product in use in this palette for the $60 CAN price tag. It breaks down to $5 per full-size shadow which is what you would spend on a single drug store shadow up here. ^_^

Urban Decay! You show those Ultra Luxe brands how to put together a proper palette.

    1. Yeah I'm guessing I'm an NC05. ;) I'm not an NC10 that's for sure as NC15 products are about 2 to 3 shades darker then my skin tone. lol
