Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Diffused Light |
Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Diffused Light retails for $45US and $54CAN as Sehpora. I was able to play with these shades in store and up to this point I was thinking Ethereal Light would have been a better match for me but the "opalescent sheer, cool white powder" they described it as was much more a pure white one the skin, no opal at all just glow. I personal prefer highlighters to have a touch of colour and Diffused Light is much lighter in person then the online photo's give it credit.

Products & Colour:
Diffused Light is described as "A soft, warm, pale yellow that reduces redness, eliminates shine, and gives skin clarity." Personally yellow tones don't really reduce redness in my olive completion so this claim doesn't work for me. ;) The texture however is a demi-matte base with sublet shimmer particles.
The product is pigmented however until you buff it out so you could use this as a eye shadows as well with a base as it act alike a lose powder in this regard.
I can see what the sales clerks was using this formulate for highlighter, blush and couture in different shade. the shimmer not so strong that in low light areas you could using it as a contour.
Wear:
As a highlighter sparkle lasts 12 hours before notice fading, the mattifying effect last after 16 hours.
Packaging:
Gunmetal box and compact with a rose undertone tine to both. The compact is really sturdy but the product would shatter easily due to the "baked" nature of it
Compare:
I don't really have a power like this that mattifies and adds subtle shimmer at the same time.
