Essence Love Letters Highlighter Powders in 01 Love Poem and Bloom Me Up! Shimmer Powder in 01 Rose it Up! |
Both Highlighter Powders retail for $3.99 each at Shoppers Drug Mart. The Love Letters collection never came to Canada so I was surprised to see the 01 Love Poem in the Bloom Me Up! display.

Product: Highlighter Powder is a fine miller shimmer particle highlighter with a dewy finish.
Love Poem has a satin base with larger shimmer particle strewn into the formula. Rose it Up is definitely a dewy hi frost highlighter but the particle a micro size in this one.

Colour:
Love Poem is a peach nude shade in the pan that blend into the skin more like nude yellow tone.
Rose it Up! is a pale pink what with hi-refined frost that looks more white on the skin. This shade read more like dewiness to the skin then shimmer.
Wear: 12 hours with no issue left on it's own before noticing any sort of strong fading.
Packaging: Standard plastic compact with a clear lid.
Love Poem has a poem deeply embossed into the surface of the pan (made in Poland). While Rose it Up! has a slight a surface texture embossed like lattice work (made in Italy).

Verdict:
I like them both! Love Poem read more subtle and because of it warmth I can see it working on fair to mediums skin tones. Rose it Up! I can't see this working on most fair to light skin tones because of the pink hue but the product is so sheer on the skin it might work on medium skin tones.
