Maybelline Fit Me Hydrate + Smooth Foundation in 110: Swatches & Review

PURCHASED

Maybelline Fit Me Fit Me Hydrate + Smooth Foundation in 110
Retails for $8.99US and $9.99CAN at Walmart. In fact I didn't know they made a 110 shade until I found it Walmart because they don't stock in durgstore in Ontario at least. They always stopped at 115 at Rexall and Shoppers. They just recently renamed this product with the Dewy + Smooth tag line on the new packaging bottle but it's the same old product. ;)

Maybelline Fit Me Me Hydrate + Smooth Foundation in 110 back
Product
Is a Semi-matte build-able coverage liquid foundation. It's much more forgiving on my dry patches as well. The finish on the skin is closer to a satin which is nice.

The coverage is sheer and builds up to medium/full. It was able to cover most of my redness but my larger freckles are still noticeable.

It also has a slight baby powder scent. It also dose contain 7% Octinoxate as a chemicall sun block. The only one out of the Octino chemical family that doesn't cause me hives. Oxybenzone and Octocrylene I stay clear of, but Avobenzone is one that is not irritating to me as well.

Colour: 110 Is a fair neutral shade that reads a touch peach.

Wear: I got 12 hours wear before I noticed fading without a primer or powder to set it.

Packaging: A simple glass jar with lid.

Daylight swatch: 110 heavy and buffed out
Flash swatch: 110 heavy and buffed out

Daylight swatch: 110 heavy and buffed out on right side of face. Everything creases on my lids. lol
Verdict:
It's very rare to find not only true fair shade in the market but also neutral ones as well as most brands only make pink based foundation thinking that's the norm of fair skin people. >_>

I've also tested out the new Fit Me Matte + Porless 112 shade but the formula is too dry for me. The skin texture looked smooth but also chalky at the same time. T-T
Shade 112 is also closer to NC15 from MAC... too dark for me.

This formula is also the Drugstore equivalent to NARS Sheer Glow.

  1. Looks great and a coverage level I would enjoy. I also have pale yellow toned skin that is dry so this will be something I need to check out. Thanks!
