Urban Decay Naked Smoky Palette
The Urban Decay Naked Smoky Palette retails for $54US or $66CAN for 0.05 oz/1.3g x 12 worth of product. This is the palette I had hoped the Naked 1 (original) was going to be for me. ;)

Products:
The shimmer and pearl shade all were nice to work with and pigmented as well. The micro glitter does fall out with these shade on bare skin but do bind nicely with a primer.

Some of the matte shades however are drier than the standard Urban Decay formula sadly. Whiskey being the most stiff/powdery of the matte shade does build up nicely on the skin but be careful not to drag this shade as I can and will skip on the skin. Password also suffered from the drier formula and can skip in the skin as well.

Colour:
High  is a blush champagne pink with a shimmer finish.
Dirtysweet is a pale bronze with a shimmer finish.
Radar is a warm brown shimmer with gold micro-glitter.
Armor is a deep taupe silver with bright silver micro-glitter. (I would love to get the single of this shade in the permanent range!)
Slanted is a cool tone gray with a pearl finish and silver shimmer.
Dagger is a deep cool tone grey with a satin finish.
Black Market is  charcoal black with a matte finish.
Smolder is a deep brown plum with red shimmer.
Password is a cool tone taupe with a satin finish.
Whiskey is a rich warm brown with a matte finish.
Combust is a soft dusty pink nude with a matte finish.
Thirteen is a pale ivory white satin with a matte finish.

Wear: 6 hours for the shimmery/pearl shades on bare skin and 3-4 hours for the mattes.

Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette, Urban Decay Naked Smoky Palette, and Urban Decay Electric Palette
Packaging:
Behold the Ultimate evolution of the Urban Decay palette!!! But in all due seriousness, they fix every issue they have with this Electric and Smokey iterations. The hinge stays in position so you can use the mirror in the lid without it flopping around. It feels nicely structuree compare to the other metal cases. This a little lighter as well compare to the other Naked palettes but a tiny bit thicker by 3mm.

This palette also used a nice and strong magnetic closure of a plastic snaps.

Now to Compare.
Urban Decay Naked Smoky Palette vs e.l.f. Everyday Smoky Eyeshadow Palette
I don't own a direct dupe to the Urban Decay Naked Smoky Palette the shades, however are similar to a number of products as this is a basic smoky palette with the exception of Dirtysweet and Armor. But to its credit that what this palette is all about. ;)

That said I also want to compare a similar palette to this one from e.l.f. cosmetic Everyday Smoky Eyeshadow Palette. Again there is very little direct dupe shades but I felt that they are close enough to compare for functionality.

I found that the tones of the e.l.f. Everyday Smoky Eyeshadow Palette to run warmer than the Urban Decay Naked Smoky Palette. And the e.l.f. palette is predominantly a mix of matte and pearl shades to work with which give your a softer less high shine versions of a smokey eye. Also one last thing to note, there is no carbon black shades in either of the palettes but charcoal, ones which is good because ultra black can be difficult to smoke out. ;)

Verdict:
This is a solid palette overall and can work on a number of skin tones. I love the fact that it had a matte highlighter shade that is actually lighter than my skin as an off-white. I have to say I'm slightly disappointed in the two dry matte shades and I know Urban Decay has perfected their matte formula so I'm not sure as to why these are soo dry.
