Violet's Secret Weapon Glitter Adhesive Ingredients:
Water PEG 75 Lanolin Propylene Glycol ShelIac Polysorbate 20, Simethicone Phenyl Trimethicone Disteardimonium Hectorite Magnesium Aluminum Silicate Triethanolamine TriethylCitrate Tocopheryl Acetate Xanthan Gum V/P EicoseneCopolymer Methylparaben Propylparaben Quaternium 90 Bentonite Diazolidinyl Urea
Product:
Taylor & Rosalind are the size 0.08 glitter and Sandy is the 0.004 size glitter but all of these shades are solid glitters with the exception of Taylor has some translucent quality to the green in its mix of glitter particles.

Now these glitters come with an eye safety warning but from the ingredient the materials used is not the issue but rather they don't know for 100% certainly that all the glitter particles are round cut and no corners. Again getting glitter in the eye is not fun due to the size of these particles but it nowhere near as hazardous as metal nail are glitter... because it's metal.

The Violet's Secret Weapon Glitter Adhesive is a cream colour and a lotion texture base that dries clear and gets both tacky and rubbery in texture as it dries down. It works very well as a glitter base but I recommend adding your glitter while it's still wet to create a full binding of the particles.

Colour:
Sandy is a pale bright desaturated gold with a fine glitter texture.
Taylor is a deep forest green bronze and gold reflects with a semi-fine glitter texture.
Rosalind is a bright metallic pink based Rose Gold with a semi-fine glitter texture.

Wear: This glitter needs a base to have any longevity. But the glitter base lasts 16+ hours on the lids.

Packaging: Plastic round jars with a sifter for the glitters and the new glass tube jar for the Violet's Secret Weapon Glitter Adhesive comes with a doe foot applicator.

All over the glitter adhesive.
Flash Swatches: Violet Voss Glitter in Sandy, Lit Cosmetics Beach Baby size 2 & EyeKandy Honey Drop SF.
Violet Voss Glitter in Sandy is more cool tone gold and larger size glitter particles compare to Lit Cosmetics Beach Baby size 2 & EyeKandy Honey Drop SF. Beach Baby& EyeKandy are like 98% similar to each other.

Daylight: Violet Voss Sandy, Lit Cosmetics Soul Sister size 3, Violet Voss Rosalind & Lit Cosmetics Oprah Size 2 glitters

Flash Swatches: Violet Voss Sandy, Lit Cosmetics Soul Sister size 3, Violet Voss Rosalind
& Lit Cosmetics Oprah Size 2 glitters. All
 over the glitter adhesive.
Violet Voss Talyor and Lit Cosmetics Soul Sister size 3 are the same colour with Talyor had larger glitter particles.

Violet Voss Rosalind and Lit Cosmetics Oprah Size 2 look similar in the jar but Rosalind has larger particle and leans more pink in the rose gold family, while Oprah leans more to a true copper rose gold shade.

Now the thing is I think all of these glitters shades are perfect, I just want to show similar ones I have. Because if you're like me and adore glitter chance are you might already own one of these and you might not need to get a dupe. But the fact I bought very similar shades without realising means that A) I have a glitter addiction and B) I know good shade when I see one. lol

Verdict:
The Violet's Secret Weapon Glitter Adhesive is a really good glue for all type of products (eyeshadow a glitter pigments) and it does work on the lips as well. You might experience some minor fall out as it's not a true liquid texture to bath all the glitter particle in. But sweeping a clean brush over the dried glitter will knock off any stragglers glitters that didn't get stuck to the base is what a do to prevent random fall out later in the day.

These glitters shades are very pretty and I haven't had any eye issue with them in terms of rough edges either.

  1. So glad I saw your comment on Temptalia's blog! Led me here, love your reviews. The glitter glue- it looks (in the dab shown) very similar to ELF's glitter shadow primer that was a staple for cheerleaders here in the South. I purchased some a while ago, still working well and going strong. Wanted a back up, not listed on the ELF site. Would suck if they eliminated it, but they do that at times. Anyway-- thought if anyone had both and could compare it would possibly be you. Do you own both and how do they compare? Toodles!

    1. Never got the chance to try it as it would be an item I would have to order into Canada.

But from ingredient it looks like a different formula.

      ELF glitter Primer:
Water (Aqua), Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Euphorbia Cerifera (Candelilla) Wax, Synthetic Beeswax, Petrolatum, Stearic Acid, Copernica Cerifera (Carnauba) Wax, Cetearyl Alcohol, PVP, Glycerin, Triethanolamine, Glyceryl Stearate, PEG-100 Stearate, Simmondsia Chinesis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Butyrospermum Parkil (Shea) Butter Oil, Phenoxyethanol, Methylparaben, Ethylparaben, Ethylhexylglycerin MAY CONTAIN: Iron Oxides (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499)

But the elf one does contain wax and plastic ingredient (like most lash glues that are latex free) which make for a good primer. ;)
