The Matte shades are both smooth and pigmented to work with. They best mattes in the drugstore I've every worked with and reminds me of a step-down version of MAC's Matte2 formula but much nicer than their standard Matte formula.
The Shimmer shades were also smooth to work with a very pigmented.
The Illuminator is the worst part of these palettes. They are a sheer shimmery white pearl but the formula was VERY emollient and you need to set with a powder which kind of defeats the purpose of having it as a hilighter. I throw then out after depotting these palettes.
The Primer is a was based cream that applies sheer. It didn't prolong the wear of any eyeshadow I tried with it but it's more like the NYX jumbo pencil and helps to intensify any colour put over it.

These are by far my Favourite staple eyeshadows from the drugstore. If you're looking for some MAC dupes #938 Union Square replaced me buying a few shades I was always repurchasing for only $6.
