The Hard Candy Velvet Mousse Matte Lip Color retail for $6US and $7.98CAN at Walmart each.

These are 2 of the 7 new expanded shades they have added to the Velvet Mousse lineup. The rest of the shades are more on trend taupe, browns and nudes, but I'm more of a warm girl so these two caught my eye. The tin artwork all have this more sketchy design compared to these watercolour originals to check out.

Hard Candy Velvet Mousse Matte Lip Color in Sweet Pea & Forget Me Not.

Product:This formula is a smoother version compared to Tarte Tartiest Lip Paint but denser than Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lipcolor in pigmentation and dries down to a more matte finish than the Maybelline Color Sensational Vivid Matte Liquid Lip Color. These feel smooth on the lips and neither drying nor hydrating.

This formula takes about 1-2 hours to dry down to a more matte finish on the lips but it not 100% transfer proof.

Colour:
Heather is a warm brick red with a cream to matte finish.
Forget Me Not is a pale peach/pink nude with a cream to matte finish. This shade is slightly sheer but buildable to cover my darker natural lip colour.

Wear: For about 4-6 hours before needing touch-ups.

Packaging: A simple tube with a long doe foot applicator. The tin for the "box" has a mirror in the lid and you can house two shades inside the tin once you remove the velvet tray. There is also a clear insert tapped on to keep the product in the tin body.

The new label for the tube silver foils is slightly thicker compared to the first launch ones.

Verdict

This is still one of the nicer liquid mouse lipsticks on the market and the new shades are more than welcomed by me. ;)
