Product & Colour:
So Fetch is a vibrant deeper pink coral that has a general matte finish. The formula is very pigmented and the texture is a hybrid between the the Too Faced Melted formula and the dry Ultra matte lip liquid lipstick.

It's an odd duck. Not a bad formula as it's still relatively transfer resistant, smooth to apply and wear well. The texture however it strange, it not drying on the lips but it doesn't feel nice on either. It's a weird pasty texture. You do get used to it ad it dried down on the lips.

Now application was again a strange issue. I feel you have to wait for the product to dry down before you can fill in any sheer patches upon first layer of application. I was having serious issue with get the middle of my bottom lip even. And laying to much product wasn't fixing it either. Now technically it might be because that is the smoothest part of my lip, but that should not be the problem. It also the spot where it faded the most.

There is also a peppermint scent and ingredient added to this product. It does burn my lips but it tolerable to me rather than the really almost painful feeling of the Revlon stain balms. This sensation last 20 minute max.

Wear: For about 5 hours before fading was starting to get noticeable.

Packaging: Clear tube with a small paddle applicator. I love the doe foot on this one as well because they are really thin and slightly tapered which allows you to draw your lip line more cleanly.

Kiss test after they product dried down on the lips. This much transfer is not bad actually.
Verdict:
I'm torn because I wanted to love this and support Tarte in an endeavour to branch out their product line. But there is something wacky about this formula. It's not long wearing for a matte lipstick and although the colour is great the issue with it not wanting to apply smoothly on the lips confuses and annoys me. Now this could be a shade issue but I'm just not happy with it.

The formula just misses both the ultra matte long wear formula and the smoothness of a long wear cream which is the Melted formula. I excepted more from this Tarte formula, and it just doesn't strike a balance between the two formula types on the market.
