Product: 
The matte shades of Cocoa Truffle,  Decadent, So Boujee, and Rollin' in Dough are slightly buttery, nor dry but a bit powdery which makes them workable in that they are not patchy or fade to nothing while working with them.

The shimmer shades of Money Bags, New Money, Holla For a Dolla, & Livin' Lavish, do pack a punch in terms of pigmentation, and the texture is buttery which allows you to sheer out nicely if you want a wash of the shade as well.

The Metallic shades of Chocolate Gold, Rich Girl, Love & Cocoa, Old Money, Famous, Classy & Sassy, Gold Dipped, and Drippin' Diamonds which are more like a pressed pigment with a buttery shimmer particles are so smooth to work with and blend out with full pigmentation that they create a true high metallic finish on the lids.

Too Faced Semi-Sweet Chocolate Bar palette vs Too Faced Chocolate Gold Eyeshadow Palette.

The packing style is identical to the Semi-Sweet and Chocolate Bar palettes. However, the dimension of the palette is the slightly larger frame. The reason for the update is clearly because the needed enough of a lip to include the gold drip panel which is a separate piece of plastic the clips into the lid component. I do like it because it gives weight and shape to the gold dip.

The mirror is larger inside the full lid as a bonus of the update, and the palette lid is thinner than the rest of the Chocolate palettes.

Holla For a Dolla is less metallic compared to other Foiled eyeshadows. I compared it to Makeup Geek Jester but it's not as a dupe, it gets a sense of the finish difference.
Gold Dipped is more shiny, dustier, and less yellow compared to Makeup Geek Magic Act.
Livin' Lavish is darker and dusty compared to Makeup Geek Masquerade.
Drippin' Diamonds is brighter compared to Makeup Geek High Wire.

 Jouer Skinny Dip Collection Ultra Foil Shimmer Shadows in  Star Light, Bikini, Skinny Dip, Tan Lines, Magic Hour, & Midnight Swim.

The formula of the metallic shades in this Too Faced Chocolate Gold Eyeshadow Palette reminded me of are the Jouer Skinny Dip Collection Ultra Foil Shimmer Shadows. I didn't have this palette with me anymore for comparison simply because it was only $40US for 6 shades only and put it into a swap. But the shade Jouer Star Light reminded me of TF Drippin' Diamonds, Skinny Dip of TF Gold Dipped,  Tan Lines for Famous, and Midnight Swim is a touch cooler tone compared to Holla For a Dolla. I will say though the Too Faced Chocolate Gold Eyeshadow Palette metallics are not as Shimmery with micro glitter like particles.

Verdict:
I have to admit I was waiting for the URBAN DECAY Heavy Metals Metallic Eyeshadow Palette (review here) to go on sale when I caught this one in store and I compared the neutral shades side in the Too Faced Chocolate Gold Eyeshadow Palette to the UD one. Doing this sold me on the high shine metallic foil finish eyeshadows in the Too Faced palette as UD looks dull by comparison but also despite having more of these warm shades they didn't have the same scope of bright gold to deep browns surprisingly.

That said I wish this palette had a warm red tone burgundy or metallic red to round the shades out like UD Afterparty, but if you're obsessed with foiled eyeshadows this palette delivers 8 of them, with 4 matte shades, and 4 shimmer shades to work with and create some beautiful classic looks with it.
