Products:
The 6 shades in this palette are all silky texture mattes. I would not call them buttery but they do not skip on the skin like most matte products have a tendency to do.

The neutral contour is a bonus as it not to warm or grey tone which makes it more workable for most skin types.

The 2 blushes in this palette are a touch to close to one another, but still beautifully.

Colour:

Highlight 1 is an almost pure white with a matte finish.

Highlight 2 is a pale yellow nude with a matte finish.

Blush 1 is a bright mid tone pink with a slightly cool base and a matte finish.

Highlight 3 is a pale coral pink with a matte finish. This one reads like a pale blush on fair to light skin tone as well (and it not sheer!).

Contour 1 is a neutral deep brown with a matte finish.

Blush 2 is a warm berry pink with a matte finish.

Wear:
On there own 6-8 hours.

Packaging:
Basic black compact with 6 wells of product.

Daylight swatches: Highlight 1 and Highlight 2 top row, heavy and buffed out.
Flash swatches: Highlight 1 and Highlight 2 top row, heavy and buffed out.
Daylight swatches: Highlight 3 and Contour 1 bottom row, heavy and buffed out.
Flash swatches: Highlight 3 and Contour 1 bottom row, heavy and buffed out.
Daylight swatches: Blush 1 (top right) and Blush 2 (bottom right), heavy and buffed out.
Flash swatches: Blush 1 (top right) and Blush 2 (bottom right), heavy and buffed out.
Verdict:
This is a really solid starter palette of face powders! It doesn't get much love anymore because people are interest in more "newer" products. Or they are buying this palette from BHcosmetic.

But this has pretty much all you need and enough of a colour variation to blends shades together to customise a look for different skin tones.

  1. I have never hear of costal scents which is surprising because they sound like a great brand and this palette looks awesome! I could defiantly see this being a staple in my suitcase, what more could you need for a holiday? Great find!!!!

    1. Yeah it's one of the first online stores I started to purchase from back in 2008. ;) They had this palette since then but they rebranded it. I hope they stop selling it.
