Products:
The Huda Beauty #FauxFilter Foundation is a full coverage formula foundation that will cover and mask all imperfections. I found this one hard to get evenly sheering out if you wanted a lighter coverage from it as it really likes to cling to the skin. As it dries, it stays slightly tacky for 2-3 hours on the skin without powdering it.
Coverage was excellent, It took out my redness and unevenness. My blemishes and freckles were covered as well. I did notice when my skin got super red from the wind I could just barely see if pecking through my cheek area but nats not a permanent issue with me so it holds up well in that regard to coverage.
The foundation does seem to heighten texture slightly even on the smoothes parts of my body (arms and legs), I could see the skin texture emphasised where I would not usually see with other foundations on its own within the first hour of wear/applying it. This seems to be a universal property of the foundation as I do have dry to normal skin with an oilier nose, but after testing it own myself, I did check out other videos and seeing the same texture emphases on other people. This foundation is so pigmented it doesn't have the blurring properties associated with other silicone based foundations that gives you the skin like glow.
The foundation also dries down darker than when it's first applied and can lighten again when you touch and remove the surface layer of the product on the skin before it dries down again (kind of trippy). But this is not oxidising the colour with the shades I got.
For those with patchy dry skin, I did also test this foundation with leaving my dry patches in tack (aka not exfoliate) to see how they clung. It looks better than most long-wear foundations for the first 6 hours of wear, but it still did slightly emphasised them because this foundation is full coverage and made the edges more noticeable.

But the next day after doing my full day wear test my eyes were irritated..... Not so bad I needed to go see a doctor but the whites of my eyes were red and the lids were slightly swollen just making the whole day uncomfortable, it mostly clear up by the next day thankfully. I've had this sort of reaction to perfumed products in the past but not by most of them and most of the ones I reacted to where stronger and more miserable than this one, but it takes a day to manifest irritation for me for some reason instead of this being an instant reaction. I also make sure to test new skin products solely by themselves to make sure that nothing else interferes with the product and test them on another part of my skin before using them on my face so I was surprised to realize I had a reaction like this again when no other part of my skin seem bothered by the formula. But this was clearly from the foundation as it was the first time using it around my eye area directly instead of using a concealer there and eyeshadow primers. I'm calling the issue with the perfume, whatever they use to make it and the fact it's in the middle of the ingredients list the reason for my issues.
This is more of a warning to people that might have eye allergies to perfume as the scent in it's self-wasn't cloying or unpleasant to my nose and does fade after a few hours but it definitely lingers.

For the long wear test after doing spot testing for allergies on my arms and shades on my cheeks, I try to do a 16-hour wear test for foundations in normal condition and hot/humid conditions. For this foundation, I was only able to do normal cooler conditions. For this one, I was wearing Huda's primer on the left side of my face and bade skin on the right. I'm only wearing mascara and lipstick as well.
The creasing was happening 45 minutes in with these photos..... What is going on with my jawline! lol
I really like the initial wear of this foundation without setting it with a powder and half my face in their primer. But after 4 hours I saw really prominent breakup lines under my eyes where the foundation had actually broken up in the creased areas. I also started to notice lines on my forehead where my micro expression lines form, and my smile lines had broken the foundations as well.
After 6 hours I developed fold line around my chin which I've never seen before in any of my foundations I've tried. It was literally from me looking down and my double chin/fat pad creased slightly had caused the foundation to break at the folds there. There is also pore break down around the nose where the little bit of oil had created holes in the foundation from my pores. This is something I'm used to seeing in my foundation after 12 hours though.
I managed to see no new fold line until 10 hours later at the bridge of my nose from wrinkling it at some point developed crows feet as well in the foundation on the edge of my eyes....
So at the end of wearing it for 13 hours, you think it could not get any worse. It had broken in every spot my face could move but my skin and mouth area had also broken down pore marks from a tiny bit of oil in that area.
I this what I'm going to look like in 30 more years?.......
For my blot test at this point, my nose foundation could be easily removed by wiping it away with my finger, and my chin had minimal oils but looked complete wrecked from them. Despite looking really broken up in those areas, the rest of my face the foundation was not budging at all. In fact removing it, I needed a proper makeup remover to get this foundation off compared to most. Even after jumping into a hot shows works to get them mostly off this was lingering still on my skin so this is definitely a long wear foundation were the oils don't break this foundation down.
My one caveat is that this foundation would probably not as severely crease with a setting powder and smoothing primer but the formula might be too much for my dry/normal skin areas still on its own with our mixing it with another foundation.

Now here the killer for me. I was happy with the coverage for the most part and found it mixed well with other lighter coverage silicone based foundations reducing the foundation breaking down in fold line and the overall texture looking smoother. I was going to keep the shade Crème Brulée 150G as it has a more olive undertone to the shade.
This is more of a warning to people that might have eye allergies to perfume as the scent in it's self-wasn't cloying or unpleasant to my nose and does fade after a few hours but it definitely lingers.
That said I'm willing to give the foundation a go again IF and only if they get rid of the perfume because I have used other foundations with fragrance listed but they listed WAY at the bottom of the product ingredient listing, as foundation wears a long time for my normal to dry areas of my skin.
But I was hoping to recommend this to anyone that needed a full coverage long wear foundations... I recommend getting a sample if you can to see if it works for you due to the price point but in Canada, Huda Beauty is not carried in physical Sephora stores... :(
