Maybelline The Brights Palette : Swatches & Review

PURCHASED
Maybelline The Brights Palette
Retails for $8.99US and $12.99CAN at Walmart and 17.99 at Shopper drug mart. Now I really wasn't a fan of the original Maybelline The Nudes Palette. But I wanted to give this one a shot to see if they improved at all.

Products:
These eyeshadow fall under 4 finishes matte, satin, pearl, and shimmer.

The pearl and shimmer shades have great colour payoff.
The satin shades are sheer but build-able.
The 2 matte shades however are chalky in texture and dry when trying to apply.

Colours:
Row 1 shade 1 - is a light ivory pearl white.
Row 1 shade 2 - Is a light blue base pink with a satin finish.
Row 1 shade 3 - is a light taupe brown nude with a satin finish.
Row 1 shade 4 - is a light lime green based bronze with a satin finish
Row 1 shade 5 - is a bright yellow gold with a shimmer finish.
Row 1 shade 6 - is a vibrant berry red with a pearl finish. (Looked more purple in the pan)

Row 2 shade 1 - is a blue based purple with a matte finish. Sheer and chalky.
Row 2 shade 2 - is a charcoal black with a matte finish. Sheer and chalky.
Row 2 shade 3 - is a pale denim blue with a satin finish.
Row 2 shade 4 - is a pale peach beige with a shimmer finish.
Row 2 shade 5 - is a bright turquoise with a pearl finish and pale gold micro-shimmer.
Row 2 shade 6 - is a warm brown with a satin finish.

Wear: On their own they will crease in 3 hours. There is just not enough binder for these shades to  last on their own. With a primer they will last though.

Packaging Basic compact with a clear lid and sponge applicator.

Verdict:

The Brights Palette here performed sooo much better than the Nudes palette. I'm not sure if this was LE because I can still get it in store but it's a shame because it actually delivered an overall better quality drugstore palette to work with.

Although most of the shades in here run light I'd say give it a shot if you're looking for pops of colour to work with.
