Product:
Milani Shadow Eyez 12 HR Wear Eyeshadow formula I find very smooth to apply to the lids but also dries down to a matte finish in under 30 minutes that is bugproof at that time. The finish of this one was the smoothest looking on the eyelids.

Jordana 12 HR Made to Last Eyeshadow Pencil like the Milani Shadow Eyez was also creamy to apply and dried down matte in 30 minutes. I found this one wasn't as completely opaque in nature

Palladio Beauty Shadow & Liner Herbal Gel Crayon is the sheerest of the 3 pencils and as a more wax based feel to the texture of the pencil. This one still dries down to a matte finish but upward of 45 minutes. Otherwise, it performed just as well as the other two for the most part.

Milani Shadow Eyez 12 HR Wear Eyeshadow in 10 Almond Cream is a is a pale neutral true nude with a matte finish.

Jordana 12 HR Made to Last Eyeshdow Pencil in 04 Continuous Almond is a is a pale neutral peach nude with a matte finish.

Palladio Beauty Shadow & Liner Herbal Gel Crayon in the shade In the Buff is a is a pale yellow nude with a matte finish.

Wear:  All of these I get over 16 hours with eyeshadow/powder over them.

I did find that the Palladio Beauty Shadow & Liner Herbal Gel Crayon did start to break down at the 12 hour mark on its own. The Milani Shadow Eyez 12 HR Wear Eyeshadow, Jordana 12 HR Made to Last Eyeshadow Pencil also lasted 16 hours before I started to notice fading without anything underneath or on top of these.

Packaging: All of these as chubby wood pencils that need to be sharpened. The Palladio Beauty Shadow & Liner Herbal Gel Crayon is a size down from the standard jumbo pencils so you will need a sharpener that has a smaller opening or a diameter adjuster I have from Sephora.

Winner
These all work wonderfully for me as an eyeshadow primer and base. It helps that they're matte so that you get an even finish to the look of you eyelids before applying eyeshadow over these. The do, of course, work as a cream eyeshadow as well but the long wear properties helps to increase you eye makeup looks "skin" life.

As to which one worked best for my slightly oily and hooded lids the Milani Shadow Eyez 12 HR Wear Eyeshadow did have the longest wear time overall with my test lasting past the 20-hour mark before I dragged myself to the bathroom to remove it.
