Product:
The Everlasting Glimmer Veil Liquid Lipstick formula is VERY thin in texture, it reminds me of the watery feel of a lip topper but has more of a gel substance while applying it like a liquid face cream. It goes on smoothly and easy to even the shade out before it dries down. The one thing I have to hand it to the formula, all the shades use fine milled Shimmer/Glitter particles to create the metallic effect for the colours. Thes don't feel gritty while wearing them like other glitters that are used in lip toppers and glitter lipstick kits.

Now the down side for some is that all of these shades stain the lips. I could not use any of the makeup removers at my disposal that are meant for strong prosthetic glues could not lift the stains on my lips. Even Isopropyl Myristate which I use to remove the hardest body paint stains doesn't actually work to remove the stains either. :( That said this I only found to be an issue with my purple, blue, and black shades as these are not natural looking colours on the lips in a stain form. I don't mind my lips being tinted shades of pink with the rest of the colours. Even the purple didn't stain as badly as the blue and black shades on the lips.

What I found work was using another of the colour to lift the stain on my lips and eating oily foods did the best job as lifting the stains.

The scent smells faintly of alcohol that dissipates quickly and I found these easy to remove with Micellar Water or just water if you soak your lips with a towel.

Colour:
Thunderstruck is a champagne with light gold/pale green shift shimmer.
Rocker is a brick red with gold shimmer.
Dazzle is a blue based with red/pink/gold shimmer.
Shockful is a hot pink and pink shimmer.
Razzle is a fuschia with pink shimmer. This was the thickest and most opaque colour.
Televator is a bright true purple with purple shimmer.
Satellite is a deep aquamarine with blue shimmer.
Reverb is a cobalt almost navy with blue shimmer.
Wizard is a charcoal green with gold rainbow shimmer.

Wear: For the Kat Von D Everlasting Glimmer Veil Liquid Lipstick I get about 5-6 hours for the shimmer. The stain wears down and off after a day 12+ hours.

Packaging: Is a black blue with clear text reading Everlasting Glimmer Veil to see the product inside of the package. The applicator is a doe foot with a side divet felt tip applicator to grab more product on both surfaces to apply. The side divet makes it easier to apply most product while the doe foot tip is smaller to get a cleaner edge.

Verdict:
I really like this lip topper formula. It wears like a liquid lipstick and is very comfortable on its own on the lips. I'd not a long wear matte formula however so using a base like a liquid lipstick or lip liner will prolong the wear and prevent the product from staining your lips.

It's also the most pigmented lip topper formula I have tried which is why I can still call it a Liquid Lipstick.

  1. I've been eyeballing these, but the staining issue has given me pause - especially since I'm most interested in the blues & blacks. A 12 hour stain? I think I may have to pass at this point. :-/

    1. It's pretty intense on their own but with a base like a lip liner, eyeliner or liquid lipstick there is no to maybe 2% stains on the lips compared to this 100% stain on bare lips.

I'm also really drawn to the blue and black shades, so I wanted to give fair warning. O__o
