The Kat Von D Everlasting Mini Liquid Lipstick Set retails for $49US and $68CAN for 8 x 0.1 oz/ 8 x 3 ml of product. Which is the cost of 3 full-size Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipsticks that retails for $20US and $24CAN for 0.22 oz/ 6.6 ml of product each.

This set contains the same number of shades as last years mini set but the price has gone up slightly by $6CAN only but the same price in US dollars.

Product: 

All of these shades are the current formula version 3. The formula is thinner in texture and slightly sheerer in 1 pass/layer. It does build up in 2 thin layers to be fully opaque but it feels slightly more powdery on the lip compared to the previous version. Some are sheerer than others probably due to the type of pigment used.

I found that Madrid and Damned suffered from the pigments used in these shade and needs 2 layers to get full coverage from them. and even pigmentation. The shades Sanctuary, Hawkwind, and Exorcism can look good in one layer but good deeper with 2 layers.

Colour:

Ludwig is a light nude with a matte finish.

Lovecraft is a mauve pink with a matte finish.

Sanctuary is a cool sepia with a matte finish.

Hawkwind is a nude sienna with a matte finish.

Madrid is a dusty rosewood with a matte finish.

Damned is a warm blackened red with a satin/matte finish. Needs a lipliner to keep the edges clean.

Exorcism is a deep berry with a matte finish.

Witches is a true black with a matte finish.

Wear: For about 6-8 hours. They also wear down with dignity so I found no harsh fade edges.

Packaging: Is a clear tube with a doe foot applicator.

The Everlasting Liquid Lipstick Set box is simple and has to fold in tabs to hold all the liquid lipstick inside snuggly on the top only. But I found the box flimsy enough that it popped open in shipping and the mini tubes slid out from the centre cutout.

Ludwig is a lot warmer and nuder than Lovesick.

Mother is much cooler and brighter compared to Lovecraft.

Lolita is warmer and brighter compared to Sanctuary.

Hawkwind is warmer compared to Madrid and Plath is warmer than both the shades.

Vampira is brighter than Damned and Exorcism berries cooler than both.

Verdict:
This set is a good value for 8 shades from the permanent line along with 1 new shade. If you think about it most people never finish a full size of these so it's also a great option to expand your liquid lipstick shades as well.

This set is a good one if you want to try more "nude" and on-trend shades that you may not want buy in full size to try from the brand. This also fill out shades from the brand I didn't own as well and it may be worth your while to wait for mini sets like see if you like the formula (like me).

I will have one more post on shades from her brand but I've really hit the highwater mark in terms of own shades from her line. ;)
